I have used an electric cigarette before. It was a "healthy" version with no nicotine and it didn’t help. Has the nicotine style helped anyone with quitting real cigarettes for good?
Thanks for the suggestion of Chantix, but I tried that three separate times. The crazy dreams got to be too much. The reason I ask about the E-cig is because I actually enjoy the act of smoking and the E-cig still gives you the sensation that you are.

I tried the electronic cigarette with the nicotine cartridges. They actually DO give you the nicotine fix that you’re addicted to without all of the other chemicals. It takes a good week or two of using one to make you realize how gross the "smoke" is from smoking real cigarettes. Occasioally I will buy a pack of cigarettes because I don’t have my e-cigarette with me or I didn’t charge up one of the batteries. I then get hooked on them again and have to ween myself off to get back on the e-cigarette. It takes some getting used to, but it is worth it. The nicotine vapors from the e-cigarette do not harm your body like the numerous toxins that are in tobacco. Good luck! It’s a hard habit to break!!!

Electronic cigarettes contain liquid nicotine that is heated up to produce a "Vapor". The vapor has no smell and does not linger…but does provide you with all the nicotine you crave!

The FDA recently released a report that they found 1 carcinogen in 1 sample out of the 18 they tested. This is true!
HOWEVER…the same carcinogen plus about 65 others are found IN EVERY CIGARETTE ON THE MARKET!! The FDA won’t tell you that!
No one says that e-cigs are perfectly safe. But you do the math. 3 ingredients found in electronic cigarettes verses the 4,000 (65 of which are carcinogens) chemicals found in "Analog" cigarettes.

i was just wondering if there are any decreased harmful effects because my mom is a smoker and i’m curious to see if it would be a good investment to buy her one. do you think that this is a healthier alternative than smoking regular cigarettes?

They are healthier since there is no combustion.

Come on nicotine has affects to your health, inhaling any smoke is bad(fire place smoke, tobacco, fire, BBQ etc) What’s your opinion? I have a feeling they will show on thge news bad affects from electric cigarettes?

They are trying to prove that it is bad. But I think it’s fine, honestly. My dad uses it and has stopped smoking, finally. I’m happy.
