This year about 34 million North American smokers will try to stop smoking as their New Year’s resolution. This time like the previous year only about 1.3 million of them will succeed in quitting. Maybe you and others you know have tried to quit in the past. People try and fail many times. So why do so many fail and so few reach their goal? Truth is many people don’t know how to quit or stick to the plan to quit. Studies prove that one of the vital characteristics of a successful quitter is their faith that they have the power to stop smoking. What if you feel like you can’t quit? What if there was a way to smoke safer without quiting?

What if you resolve to make a change for the better, taking easy steps towards stopping and bettering your life? An e cigaretteis the perfect tool to help you to start making progress and preparing yourself to stop smoking. E Cigarettes look just like cigarettes, feel like cigarettes, taste just like cigarettes, but they are missing the myriad of health hazards of regular smoking like toxic smoke.

An electronic cigarette or “e cigarette ” is a tiny battery-powered device shaped like a cigarette that provides a precise injection of nicotine like an inhaler. The e cigarette uses a heating element to vaporize a a special liquid nicotine called E Liquid. The harmless vapor also gives you flavor and a physical sensation much like that of regular tobacco smoke. No tobacco is actually involved in using the e cigarette . When you puff the e cigarette, a tiny sensor detects air flow and activates a heating element that vaporizes the nicotine solution stored in the mouth of the ecig. An LED on the opposite end of the e cigarette fires during inhalation, simulating the glow of smoking a normal cigarette.

So why are e cigarettes safer?

Reports show that there’s roughly 4,000 different chemicals released when consuming a traditional tobacco cigarette and close to 60 to 70 known carcinogens and toxins increasing your chances for getting killer cancer. The e cigarette nicotine solution has 10 to 20 ingredients, depending on the manufacturer, and produces harmless mist. No second hand smoke production means that you will not be hurting others around you with carbon monoxide. You can smoke freely, even in public and other confined or indoor areas. This form of smoking is clean and leaves no trace odors on your clothes, breath, or your beautiful home. Imagine feeling fresh and clean and still enjoying smoking without all the tar and flith.

E Cigarettes use refillable cartridges in varying nicotine levels such as high, medium, low, and zero nicotine as well as exotic flavors. This means you can slowly lower your nicotine intake and take that first step towards quitting. Independent reports has demonstrated that the average smoker inhales approximately 15 puffs of a cigarette. Based on this figure, a filled cartridge is just about equal to about ten normal cigarettes, but this could vary based on the brand’s make and model. Varying reports indicate that it changes based on how frequently the e-cigarette is used throughout the day and how deeply the user inhales. A bottle of E Liquid Nicotine is used to restock the cartridges many times over. So based on the huge expenses and taxes connected with traditional tobacco you will experience huge savings along with good health benefits.

Some manufacturers are so confident you will enjoy the benefits of esmoking they are even offering free trials of their top of the line e cigarette starting kits so you can experience the difference first hand for only covering the cost of shipping. When you add up all the benefits you’ll immediately understand that just because you won’t entirely quit smokingright now, you owe it to yourself to discover this safer and healthier electronic smoking alternative.

Im doing homework (a web) and my thesis is "smoking is not for me" and my bubble from my thesis bubble is smoking is addicting and hard to quit but I need another bubble off that bubble. HELP PLEASE!!!
I also have a bubble from my thesis that says "cost for cigarettes is outrageous" what are bubbles that come out of that??? THANKS

You could talk about the different aspects of smoking that are addicting. I.E. Nicotine creating a chemical addiction in the brain, and the psychological addiction of an oral fixation as described by Freudian theory. For the cost you could talk about how much a pack of cigarettes cost, and then also the cost of the medical bills from the resulting cancer, as well as the psychological cost.

I am trying to stop smoking and i don’t even no why am doing this ( logicaly i know ofcours ) i mean that i love smoking but i hated when it comes between some people who does’t really like u to be around them while u r smoking. And nowadays its important to respect others feeling even though u know that u don’t have to.

I used to be a smoker 5 yrs ago and to me it’s the hardest thing to quit. Make sure that when you decide to quit, it’s something you really want to do for yourself, otherwise you’ll only end up smoking again. Set a quit date and when that date comes…stick with it. For a while, you have to avoid the things you associated with cigarettes (for example, if you drank coffee while smoking, you’ll have to stay away from coffee temporarily).
Basically, you have to change your whole routine and substitue something else for the cigs (like exercise).

The hardest part is the withdrawal symptoms and the cravings which lasted about 3 wks for me. After that, it got easier and easier. In the meantime, stay away from non-smokers and if you must, smoke outside, although that’s getting harder and harder nowadays with "no smoking" signs posted everywhere.

I had a baby in October 2008. I didn’t smoke while pregnant. I have found myself smoking 1-5 cigarettes a day and can’t seem to quit..Any tips for quitting completely?

That first responder was obviously high while writing his response….

Anyways, what helped or worked for me was smoking cheaper smokes that taste real bad. I could only handle to light it and then put it out. Averaging about 1-2 smokes per day. It was a re-light festival until I finally decided I just didn’t want it anymore. That was after 24 years of smoking and a whole lot more per day than you too so you may see quicker results. A whole lot of it is mind set too. Good Luck
