The statutory warning that “Cigarette smoking is injurious to your health,” has no salutary effect on the smokers, men or women!

Nicotine is such a powerful agent that has the capacity to subdue the discriminative capacity of individuals. Forget about men for a while. They have been smoking ever since this tobacco appeared on the destructive scene through its various forms.

Women are supposed to have the sixth sense. They are believed to have the capacity to decide what is good and what is bad.

And yet, women in the 20 century surrendered at the alter of the nicotine and such surrender is increasing at a rapid pace! And now a time has come when women need tips to stop smoking.

When you have the strongest urge to smoke, try the substitutes such as chewing gum, the herbal cigarette. Your idle mind is the devil’s workshop. Develop friendship with the non-smoking fair-sex, and involve yourself in endless gossiping. When you feel the urge to smoke, just get up from that place and go out to take a brisk walk in the lawns or in a garden.

The first few days or weeks of your effort to follow the stop smoking tips are going to be crucial. If you are successful, you are one of the missionaries to give tips to other women to stop smoking. The reformed turned the reformer!

Today there are 5 million tobacco-related deaths per year, with 1.3 billion people who smoke, and tobacco is the leading cause of death that can be preventable according to the World Health Organization. A thing that used to considered “cool”, such as the Marlboro billboards across the country, is now on the tip list of killers.

To combat this, the stop smoking injection, or the stop smoking vaccine, is one of the most successful and aggressive stop smoking aids with a 70-80% success rate of all the available smoking aids. A medical therapy, this type of aid takes place in a medical clinic under experienced physicians with supervision. Counseling and group therapy also work well to combine with the injection aid for smokers who are struggling to successfully quit.

Three injections of Scopolamine or Atropine behind the ears, on the hip, or on the arms, will block the nicotine receptors in the brain. As a part of the treatment, the patient is required to wear a scopolamine patch behind his ear and take atropine tablets for two weeks after getting the shot. The brain will not recognize that it needs nicotine so the nicotine addiction will eventually vanish – as an antismoking aid, these injection chemicals act on the nicotine “sensitive” areas of the brain and reduces the craving for a smoke. A single session may last from an hour to an hour and a half and costs approximately 350-500 dollars, but it usually is covered by health insurance policies.

The drugs involved with the stop smoking injections are medically classified as anti-cholinergics and are mainly used in helping to control neural activity in the brain. They have been extensively used previously in the medical field in the form of anesthetics during surgery or as a temporary means of curing Parkinson’s disease. The most common side effects associated with these anti-smoking injections are dizziness, dry mouth, headaches, and problems in urinating which happens soon after the injection is given, if it happens at all.

Long-term effects include hallucination, strokes, and heart attacks. However, these are rare, and are usually observed only in those smokers who are subjected to high dosages. In extreme cases, the person can also end up in coma. A smoker needs to undergo a complete medical check up before treatment. However, this treatment should be avoided for pregnant women or those who suffer from cardiac disorders. People who are using other narcotics also should avoid the anti-smoking injections also. If nothing else is working for you, you should try the injections for quitting smoking before going back to smoking, as your health is very important.

You started smoking on a beautiful note. At that time you never imagined in your wildest dreams that to stop smoking would be such a deadly effort. You have tried several methods, rather many quit smoking methods have used you to make fun of you.

1. Decide a date that you are going to stop smoking and then sign the agreement below. Hold yourself accountable.

2. Write down all the reasons why you want to stop smoking. State these reasons in the positive. The mind does not know the difference between something negative and something positive. So you want your mind focused on the positive reasons why you are a non-smoker.

3. Read through the positive reasons why you want to be a non-smoker daily and perform the exercise below.

a. Close your eyes take a few deep breaths and imagine that a wave of relaxation is flowing throughout your entire body. Imagine that every time that you breathe out you are relaxing more and more. You could even imagine that every breath that you exhale is like taking a step down an imaginary staircase of relaxation.

Say the following suggestion to yourself.

“I am a non-smoker and I am going to remain a non-smoker for the rest of my life”

c. Once you have said the said that suggestion, imagine yourself in a situation really feeling the benefits of this change.

d. So if one of your reasons for stopping smoking was to feel fitter you could then imagine yourself exercising and really feeling the benefits because you are a non-smoker.

e. Repeat the suggestion again and imagine yourself in another situation noticing the benefits of the change.

f. Repeat this for all your positive reasons and then count from 1 to 3 and open your eyes.

4. Break all your patterns of where and when you smoked. If you smoked in the car, take the ashtray out and clean the vehicle so it smells fresh.

5. Stop asking yourself why you can’t stop smoking. Build up your will power by asking yourself these question:

How good will I feel when I’ve stopped smoking?

What do I feel happiest about in my life?

What am I most excited about or what would make me feel excited?

What will I use my new wealthy and fitness for?

Really think about and consider the answers until you feel better.

6. If the urge to smoke strikes, close you eyes, take a deep breath in and as you exhale imagine that the urge is leaving your body. Do this 3 times.
